Role OverviewThe Corporate Account Executive (CAE) is a quota‑carrying sales professional responsible for driving growth within large corporate accounts (typically >$2B in company size, ARR >$50K, opportunity size up to $1M). The CAE manages and expands relationships within assigned accounts, delivering tailored solutions that align with client objectives. This role combines strategic account management with hands‑on sales execution, focusing on both new business development and expansion within existing accounts.
The CAE collaborates with cross‑functional teams to execute account strategies and close deals on a quarterly basis.
- Meet assigned quotas by selling a comprehensive suite of software solutions (CAD, PLM, ALM, SLM) to corporate accounts within targeted industries.
- Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities while growing sales within existing accounts.
- Lead the sales process from prospecting to deal closure, ensuring a value‑based engagement approach.

- Oversee all sales activities within assigned accounts, maintaining alignment with account strategies.
- Understand client business processes and provide tailored technology solutions to address their needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, marketing, operations, technical) to deliver comprehensive solutions.
- Participate in vertical‑specific initiatives and contribute to regional sales strategies.
- Support transactional sales motions while developing consultative selling skills for more complex opportunities.
- Strong consultative selling and relationship management skills, with the ability to communicate value to mid‑level and senior decision‑makers.
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets, with experience in selling software solutions.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and sales forecasting, with attention to data accuracy.
- Solid understanding of product development and discrete manufacturing industries, including associated business operations.
- Ability to analyze market trends, identify growth opportunities, and adapt strategies to drive success.
- Knowledge of sales methodologies such as MEDDICC or Command of the Message is beneficial but not required.
- Growth mindset with a willingness to learn and evolve toward more senior sales roles.
- 5+ years of experience in software sales, with a successful track record of meeting or exceeding quotas.
- Experience in managing accounts and developing business within large corporate environments.
- Exposure to complex sales cycles and account development is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to travel for customer meetings and team collaboration.
The anticipated annual salary range for this position is between $130,000 – $216,000, encompassing both base salary and on‑target incentive compensation. Actual compensation may vary based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Eligible employees also have the opportunity to become a PTC shareholder through our employee share purchase program (ESPP).
