Position Description
ifm is seeking a self‑motivated, results‑driven Sales Engineer to join our growing organization. This Sales Engineer position reports to the East Region Sales Director and is based in our Worcester, Massachusetts office and is responsible for existing and new customer relationships throughout that territory. Your relationship skills, strong business acumen, and technical expertise will be paramount in working with automation machine builders and manufacturing plants across the region to define process improvements that improve their bottom‑line results

Leverage technical product and application knowledge to provide high quality solutions to automation challeng - es.
Effectively communicate with customers using digital media such as web conferences, Linked In, and phone cal - ls.
Conduct in‑person meetings on large projects to evaluate machines, solve applications or present ifm solutio - ns.
Work in a team selling environment to leverage expertise across the Sales te - am.
Energetically approach new business and prospecting to develop future grow - th.
Continuously learn automation industry trends and ifm solutions that relate to those tren - ds.

3 to 7 years of related technical sales experience prefe - rred.
Engineering or Business degree prefe - rred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels within an organiza - tion.
Ability to sell in remote or face‑to‑face situat - ions.
Attention to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environ - ment.
Self‑disciplined with a high sense of urgency to be a collaborative business par - tner.
