Description and Requirements

As a Merchant Card Sales Representative, you will have an overall focus on engaging and enabling merchants to accept a major credit card brand. You will be the face of the brand and visit local merchants increasing merchant stated acceptance, and work with various teams to remediate technical issues and convert merchants to accept the card.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct merchant site visits within respective footprint to gain acceptance and share value story of a major credit card brand.
  • Be the face of the client and maintain professionalism.
  • Visit local merchants on a daily / weekly basis to educate on acceptance, place signage, test terminals and/or remediate.
  • Convert merchants to accepting a major credit card brand.
  • Remediate technical issues
  • Maintain and build relationships with key clients.

  • Being willing to travel 50-75% of your time - sometimes overnight.
  • Creatively overcoming obstacles and influencing behavior.
  • Organizing priorities in order to work smart / efficiently.
  • Leveraging your stellar Salesforce skills.
What experience should you have?
  • Experience in the Merchant Service Processing industry.
  • Territory management experience.
  • ISO processing background.
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficient.
  • Ability to problem solve/creative thinking skills.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to influence others.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
