This opportunity is with a well-established global CRO enabling pharma and biotech companies from discovery through manufacturing. Our client delivers integrated, high-quality services in small molecules, biologics, and ADCs and gene therapy.
Responsibilities- Play a critical role in business development efforts in toxicology and safety assessment.
- Identify and secure new opportunities in preclinical safety services.
- Build and maintain relationships with biotech and pharma clients.
- Work closely with internal scientists to shape tailored proposals.
- Translate complex safety needs into actionable solutions.
- Represent the organization at industry events and client meetings.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of potential partners.
- Provide market insights to guide strategic planning.
- Travel up to 50%.

The Successful ApplicantA successful Director, Business Development - Preclinical should have:
- An advanced degree in Toxicology, Pharmacology, Biology, or related field. PhD would be preferred.
- A deep knowledge of preclinical safety assessment and GLP-compliant studies.
- Experience in client-facing or business development roles within pharma/CRO
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex scientific needs into strategic solutions.
- Familiarity with the CRO landscape and drug development pipeline.
- High level of self-motivation and ownership.
- Willingness to travel frequently to clients through the United States.
- Base salary ranging from $150000 to $200000, based upon experience.
