Quality Control Chemist

Responsibilities

• Document work and maintain good laboratory records in notebooks and on controlled documentation (good documentation practices).
• Perform chemical analysis using standard techniques.
• Perform lab tasks such as product weighting, solution preparation, dispensing and related.
• Perform tasks on instrumentation such as HPLC, LC-MS, GC, GC-MS with training provided.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance.
• Assist senior staff to control documents and records following standard procedures.
• Various lab tasks required for day to day operations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (or Chemistry adjacent) or greater
• Previous organic synthesis or analytical lab and analytical method development experience preferred.
• Familiarity with operation of HPLC, LC-MS, GC, GC-MS etc.
• Basic analysis and assignment of HPLC, LC-MS, GC, GC-MS, NMR spectra.
• Computer skills: knowledge of Microsoft Office and other relevant computer programs.
• Detail oriented, organized and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to write correspondence, reports, and procedures.
• Proactive and open attitude to learn on the job.
