Bio View is seeking a highly professional, customer‑focused Field Service Engineer to join our Support & Training team. The successful candidate will live in the Boston, MA area and serve as a support and training engineer for our clients in the Americas. He/She will provide new and existing customers comprehensive training of the Bio View imaging products line. He/She will be responsible for providing prompt support to our users while achieving the highest possible level of customer satisfaction.

He/She will maintain a high level of technical expertise in all aspects of the Bio View products, including the biological, computerized and optical features of our products.

• Installation of Bio View systems at customer sites
• Training of new users to successfully operate the Bio View systems & software
• Demonstrating Bio View systems and applications
• Provide remote and on‑site support to Bio View customers by installing, fine‑tuning, and maintaining Bio View systems and applications.
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures
• Documenting all activities, contributing to quality improvement, and focusing on maximizing customer satisfaction
• Frequent travel – 60‑70% of the time, mostly within the US & Canada, but may be to other regions worldwide

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in life science, biomed, or a technical field
• Familiarity with microscopy, cytogenetics, fluorescence in‑situ hybridization (FISH), cell morphology, and immunostaining analysis is an advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem solver with strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Computer and network knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to understand computer algorithms and tune parameters.
• Outstanding ability to explain, demonstrate, and present new biological and technical concepts to new users.

• Willingness to work outside of normal working hours and occasionally on weekends
