Compensation

Base rate: $19/hour, post rate shifts may offer a +$1‑$5/hr differential.

Position Summary

Responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by providing protective services, customer assistance, and incident response in support of site operations and client needs.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and authorize the entrance and departure of employees, guests, and other persons
  • Patrol and roam the Guest Areas, monitoring safety and compliance with house rules, interacting with guests, and addressing safety and security concerns
  • Operate metal detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent prohibited articles from entering restricted areas
  • Partner with crew members at the end of the show to close the venue, including collecting recyclables and storing event equipment
  • Warn persons of rule infractions or violations
  • Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences
  • Apprehend and evict guests in violation of house rules or causing a safety hazard to themselves and others
  • Examine tickets or passes to verify authenticity, using criteria such as color or date issued
  • Provide accommodation for guests with special needs, including assisting those who use wheelchairs
  • Inform guests of the layout of the venue and direct them to restrooms, concession stands, and designated seats/sections
  • Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, ensuring security of doors, windows, and gates
  • Perform other job‑related duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Completed high school diploma or GED
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certifications
  • Strong visual acuity including color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous work experience with the public in a service setting
Physical Demands & Work Environment

Work hours will vary by assignment, client schedules, project deadlines, and company needs. Workweeks may exceed 40 hours and may involve any of the 7 days of the week. The environment may be fast‑paced and stressful or quiet and slow‑paced; all require alertness and the ability to perform under pressure. The employee must be able to sit, stand, and walk for variable amounts of time, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch, and lift or move objects up to 25 pounds.

Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Frequent mental concentration and analysis are required.
