Armed Security Officer – State Office (Boston, MA)
Allied Universal® (North America’s leading security and facility services company) is hiring a full‑time Armed Security Officer for a state facility in Boston, MA.
Job Schedule & Pay- Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Starting pay: $25.88 per hour (Paid orientation & training)
- Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor for and report any suspicious behavior or activity in accordance with established procedures.
- Assist visitors, employees, and/or contractors by providing direction and information as needed.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by site guidelines.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary and as directed by site management.
- Adhere to all company and site‑specific protocols regarding the carrying and use of firearms while performing assigned duties.

- Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
