Markley is seeking an experienced Armed Security Officer with an active U.S. government‑issued security clearance. As a Cleared Security Officer, you will be entrusted with sensitive information and given the responsibility to protect classified information and personnel. You will receive specialized training in site‑specific security protocols associated with your clearance level, allowing for skill development and professional growth in the security field.
Responsibilities- Provide high‑quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information with professionalism.
- Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot to ensure the protection of people, assets, and sensitive or classified information.
- Ensure employees, visitors, and contractors are properly cleared and possess proper security badges when accessing the property. Follow site‑specific performance manuals and post orders; report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and oral communication to client and/or other security personnel.
- Protect property, materials, equipment, and information from danger of terrorism, sabotage, espionage, intrusion, and criminal acts.
- Respond to and assess security alarms or emergency alarms.
- Function as a first responder in emergency situations.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
- Must hold an active U.S. government‑issued Top Secret security clearance. (National security eligibility determinations consider a person's stability, trustworthiness, reliability, discretion, character, honesty, and judgment.)
- A valid license to carry in Massachusetts is required prior to employment.
- Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Intermediate computer skills to operate access control systems.
- Computer proficiency to perform database searches.
