Field Service Technician; Entry Level - Boston, MA

Job Description

As a Senior Field Service Technician (FST) at P&G Professional, you will work independently in the field to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain chemical dispensing equipment and other commercial food service or laundry equipment. Your focus will be on delivering exceptional service to support customer retention and outstanding service excellence.

The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn new skills through on‑the‑job training. You should possess a basic understanding of electronics, plumbing, maintenance or mechanical systems with the ability to perform root‑cause troubleshooting. A moderate working knowledge of relevant tools and data usage is required, along with proficiency in laptop and phone technology (Salesforce, Microsoft Word, Excel).

A valid driver’s license and occasional overnight travel are also required.

• Work schedule:
  
  5‑day week, 8 hours/day; may include 12‑hour shifts, occasional weekends, and night shifts.
• Lift, lower, and carry objects up to 50 lbs.
• Push and pull objects up to 50 lbs.
• Climb vertical ladders and stairs.
• Stand, sit, walk for long periods, twist, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and reach as needed for equipment installation and maintenance on concrete/asphalt surfaces.
• Operate a computer keyboard and phone to input and access data.
• Respond to visual and audible alarms and signals for equipment startup, evacuation, and fire.
• Drive a motor vehicle, spending roughly 30% of the day traveling between accounts in city, rural, and expressway conditions.
• Work in extreme temperatures (hot and cold) typical of warehouse environments with wide temperature, dust, and dirt variations.

• Must live in the specified city.
• On‑call coverage may include occasional weekends, holidays, and night shifts.

Starting pay: $29.00 per hour. Total rewards include salary, optional bonus, and benefits. Exact compensation will be discussed during the hiring process.
