About the Fire Protection Fabrication Welder

The Fire Protection Fabrication Welder is responsible for fabricating and welding components essential for fire protection systems. This includes working on the construction and assembly of fire suppression and sprinkler systems, ensuring that all welding activities adhere to industry standards and safety regulations.

What You'll Do:

• Cut and roll groove Fire Protection piping.
• Bundle and organize pipe in preparing for shipping.
• Weld on automated machine.
• Hand weld when necessary.
• Perform miscellaneous shop tasks.
• Maintains condition of work area (i.e. free of trash, products in correct location, etc.)

Education & Experience

• High school Diploma
• 2+ years of fabrication experience preferred.

Required Skills

• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to multitask.
• Adaptability to handle different projects and tasks efficiently.
• Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach
• Ability to weld preferred.

Physical Requirements

Sedentary Work –Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.

Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
