Senior Supervisor of Plumbing and Gas Fitting – Sprinklers

REPORTS TO

Chief Supervisor of Plumbing and Gas Fitting

Sprinkler Fitter Supervisor will work with and within the Plumbing Division with specific responsibility to ensure all BPS sprinkler systems, fire pumps, valves, actuators and notification devices are maintained, tested and repaired as required by the NFPA, BFD and all applicable compliance entities. Work with P&E Fire Alarm Division and personally ensure proper and regular maintenance is conducted on all valves and devices as outlined with the NFPA guidance.

Work with designers on development of capital upgrades and improvements to Fire Protection systems. Assist P&E Plumbing Division on Daily plumbing maintenance and repairs as allowable. Work with PFD on similar project scopes as BPS Facilities liaison.

• Sprinkler Fitter Supervisor will work with and within the Plumbing Division with specific responsibility to ensure all BPS sprinkler systems, fire pumps, valves, actuators and notification devices are maintained, tested and repaired as required by the NFPA, BFD and all applicable compliance entities. Assist with diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing of security, card access and camera systems.
• Work with P&E Fire Alarm Division and personally ensure proper and regular maintenance is conducted on all valves and devices as outlined with the NFPA guidance.
• Work with designers on development of capital upgrades and improvements to Fire Protection systems.

• High School Diploma
• MA Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter.
• 5 years experience installing, maintaining, repairing and testing buildings sprinkler systems, pumps, and appliances.
• Knowledgeable in the MA General Laws for building sprinkler systems.
• Knowledgeable in NFPA 25 for inspection, testing and maintenance of water-based fire protection systems.
• Basic Computer Skills required.
• Valid MA Drivers License required.

• BS Degree in Engineering or Construction related field.
• MA Licensed Sprinkler Fitter and Journeyman Plumber
• 10 years experience in sprinkler installations, maintenance and repairs.
