Summary:

This role requires a blend of Middle-tier and presentation-tier skills (both server-side and client-side design and development skills) with strong Core Java skills to work on a development team that supports various insurance portals and customer facing applications. The team is creating a comprehensive web portal for brokers and retail customers, all web based development. Skills required are expert level with Spring MVC module, strong with RESTful Web Services, proficient with jQuery - JSON, XML, Angular

JS is ideal and experience with JBOSS. This application supports agents, brokers and retail customers so the UI is critical and rich and feature filled.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 9-10 years of experience in Web application design and development
• Minimum 8 years development experience in Java/J2EE technologies
• Very strong working experience with Spring MVC module and proficient knowledge of components
• RESTful Web Services hands on experience and integration with Spring
• Must have good understanding of non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, maintainability, security)
• Familiarity with Web application security considerations
• Expert level skills in Object-Oriented software design
• Medium level skills in SQL and database design
• Desirable knowledge includes P&C Insurance industry, JBOSS, ESB (Mule), Rule Engines, JSON, JUnit, Web Services, Unix Shell Scripting
