Engineering Team Lead

Job Description:

We are looking for Technical Lead to drive a scrum team for all the necessary deliverables and be the technical face of the team for major decisions. This position will be in our Pune office

As a Technical Lead, the associate will be responsible for driving a scrum team to deliver project deliverables and orchestrate complex application development across the full lifecycle of development from concept to post-production support and maintenance of server / OS / web / mobile applications and services. The associate will see over development of application code, contribute to and manage version-controlled source code repositories, and will manage assigned tasks to create measurable value and deliver software to market using industry- recognized agile methodologies and best practices.

The associate will advocate the standards and guidelines set by the architects and leadership teams and must demonstrate quality, brevity, and timeliness in all deliverables.

In this role candidate will:

• Manage a scrum team to deliver the project deliverables on time and be the main technical face of the team for any decision.
• Successfully run Agile ceremonies and closely work with the Product Owners on the keeping the roadmap and team's current capacity in balance.
• Helping to educate and mentor other engineers. Participate in on-call duties for production issues as required.
• Develop application code according to requirements and assigned tasks.
• Contribute to lifecycle Flow and value streams by following and prescribing methodologies and best practices.
• Solve the most difficult software development challenges.
• Maintain balance of business and technical acumen in decision making.
• Contribute to source-code management and work item tracking best practices.
• Contribute to the estimation process during planning exercises.
• Provide consultation to development management team.
• Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design reviews, writing user stories, reviewing code submitted by other engineers, and automated testing

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience with at least 4 years of experience building and supporting Java based applications.

• Strong knowledge of Object-oriented programming (OOP) design and principles.
• Experience in development applications using Java (preferably 11 and above), Spring Boot with special emphasis on Spring Data and Spring Cloud
• Strong knowledge of the ORM layer.
• TDD experience. Writing good unit tests and integration tests.
• Should be a self-starter and can work independently in a globally distributed team.
• Experience developing Restful APIs.
• Experience with caching and queuing mechanisms like Rabbit
  
  MQ, Kafka.
• Expertise working with JavaScript/JQuery.
• Developing highly optimized database applications/Queries based on SQL.
• Experience Working in one or more RDBMS like MySQL or Oracle
• Agile development experience using one of the scrum tools like Jira.
• Experience with git and version control software like Github or bitbucket.
• Authentication and Authorization using SAML and/or OAuth 2.0
• Understanding of emerging AI technologies and toolsets in support of engineering best practices such as Git Hub Copilot Chat, ChatGPT, Claude, etc.

• Experience in deploying to cloud and managing it. Experience with AWS is huge plus.
• Experience with developing micro services.
• Knowledge of Graph
  
  QL. Understanding of webpack and NodeJS.
• Experience with Performance testing and APMs at enterprise level.
• Experience with developing payment systems. Knowledge of PCI requirements.
• Thymeleaf HTML Templates
• Knowledge of React/React-Native
