Nell and Dan founded Folia Health upon realizing there wasn't a place for patients to capture their day-to-day needs and opinions in a structured, actionable format—or a method to share them with providers and researchers securely. Having loved ones living with complex, chronic conditions, Nell and Dan sought to bridge this gap and put the real experts in control. Home-reported outcomes (HROs) digitize the vast personal health knowledge that lives in patients' heads, ultimately enhancing clinical development and commercial success.

We are a small and highly collaborative engineering team supporting a large number of projects and initiatives. As such, new engineers on our team will contribute to development efforts across our stack, including development of back-end web services, web and native mobile clients, and data processing tools using SQL. Engineers on our team also collaborate with product specialists and other stakeholders to refine designs and project plans to ensure the company’s goals are met.

Qualifications

2-5 years of experience in software development

Experience with one or more modern programming languages

Ability to design effective domain models

Background in object oriented design patterns

Experience with RESTful web services

What You Will Do:

Develop Folia’s core model for recording and analyzing personal health data

Contribute to the design and implementation of web services for consumption by our client applications

Contribute to the design and implementation of features for our front-end applications (web and mobile)

Rapidly scale your skills and role within the company as we scale our organization

We currently have an office in Boston, MA and our team works remote and in-person based on their individual preference.

Compensation

Starting salary range of 80k - 120k depending on experience

Benefits including health insurance, dental, vision, and long term disability insurance, and 401(k)
