Senior Full Stack Engineer

Arul Health builds an agentic AI platform that helps patients and caregivers manage the logistics of serious and chronic illness. Our AI agents and human care navigators do appointment scheduling, prior authorizations, insurance navigation, prescription refills and financial assistance applications.

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you build product from end to end: design engineering, the React front end, the Python and FastAPI back end, and the AI agent workflows. You work directly with the CEO to shape the product, build agentic workflows, and deliver high-quality, HIPAA-compliant software.

This role is on-site in our Boston office, 5 days a week. The salary range is $165K to $200K, with 0.5% to 2.0% equity.

Build from the ground up: as an early team member, you own the product roadmap and the technical architecture. Your work directly improves the lives of patients with chronic illness. You work across the full stack, from React front ends to agentic AI orchestration, with full end-to-end ownership. You work every day with the CEO and the core team in our Boston office.

• — Build full-stack features for patients, caregivers and care navigators, from design to production.
• — Design and ship production LLM agents: orchestration, prompt and context design, tool use, evals, guardrails and observability.
• — Build agent workflows that book appointments, request prescription refills and complete insurance and financial assistance tasks.
• — Make product trade-offs with the CEO and help set the product roadmap.
• — Keep our software reliable, secure and HIPAA-compliant.
• — Mentor and guide other engineers as the team grows.

• — 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• — Experience shipping consumer or user-facing products at a startup or a top product company.
• — Experience building full-stack features for chronic condition management applications.
• — Production LLM experience: agent orchestration, prompt and context design, tool use, evals, guardrails and observability.
• — Strong front-end and design engineering skills, not only back-end skills.
• — Experience with product ownership: roadmap creation and strategic trade-offs.
• — Experience at an early-stage startup.
• — Experience mentoring and guiding other engineers.
• — A formal degree and a strong educational background.
• — Ability to work on-site in Boston, 5 days a week.

• — Experience with React and Python/FastAPI.
• — Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
• — Experience building HIPAA-compliant systems.
