About the Role Quality Engineer, Trading Technology Investment Implementation & Trading Technology Boston or Needham, MAAt Wellington Management, technology underpins how we invest and operate in global markets. Our Trading Technology team builds and supports the platform that enables investment and trading decisions to be executed reliably and 'll work on a platform that's proven and mission-critical, the kind of environment where thoughtful engineering has immediate, visible impact.

JOB OVERVIEW: We are seeking an early to mid career Quality Engineer to join our Trading Platform Engineering team within Investment Implementation & Trading (IIT) Technology.  In this role you will support business-critical applications in an asset management environment. This role focuses on ensuring high-quality software delivery through testing and automation. You’ll work closely with technology team members and business partners to deliver resilient systems and continuously improve how we build and test software.

RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and maintain testing artifacts including test strategies, plans, and cases

Execute functional, regression, and integration testing

Develop and maintain automated test scripts

Collaborate with development and business teams

Track and manage defects

Perform backend and database testing

Align with QE standards and best practicesQUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field2+ years of experience in Quality engineering or related roles

Understanding of order management systems and trade lifecycle processes

Experience with Selenium, Karate, UFT, or REST AssuredSQL and database testing knowledge

Strong analytical skills

Hands-on experience with Agile software development practices

Preferred Experience These are qualifications that would be helpful for the position but are not firm requirements.

Working knowledge of Order Management Systems Familiarity CI/CD toolsAI-assisted tools (e.g., Git Hub Copilot, Claude Code or similar)
