Integration Architect

The Integration Architect shapes the strategy, standards, target-state architecture, and governance that enable secure, scalable, resilient, and reusable integration across the US Segment. This role provides architectural leadership across APIs, services, events, messaging, streaming, batch, and hybrid integration, helping teams connect systems and exchange data consistently while reducing duplication and technical debt.

Working within the Domain Architecture team, you will establish reusable architecture patterns, guide critical design decisions, improve visibility across the integration landscape, and help delivery teams adopt interoperable, cloud-aligned integration solutions.

Position Responsibilities:

Define and evolve the Integration Domain strategy, principles, standards, guardrails, reference architectures, and target-state patterns, aligned with business priorities and enterprise architecture direction.

Develop multi-year integration roadmaps that connect business strategy, modernization priorities, technology investments, and architecture direction.

Design and guide enterprise integration solutions spanning APIs and services, event-driven and batch integration, messaging and streaming, cloud and SaaS platforms, legacy modernization, data integration, and external partner connectivity.

Establish and maintain a catalogue of reusable integration patterns, including synchronous APIs, asynchronous messaging, event-driven, streaming, and batch patterns, with clear guidance on their appropriate use.

Promote modern integration approaches, including API-first, event-driven, and cloud-native patterns, with security, automation, operational resilience, and observability built into solution design.

Maintain architecture visibility across critical integration interfaces, dependencies, technology life cycles, and technical debt, using LeanIX or other approved enterprise repositories where appropriate.

Provide architecture governance by reviewing solution designs, documenting Architecture Decision Records, assessing exceptions, and guiding solution architects and delivery teams toward consistent architecture outcomes.

Evaluate emerging integration technologies, platforms, vendor solutions, and AI-assisted engineering capabilities, providing recommendations and identifying opportunities for modernization.

Partner across application, data, security, cloud, infrastructure, platform engineering, solution architecture, technology delivery, and business teams to resolve cross-domain dependencies and translate strategic priorities into executable integration capabilities.

Conduct architecture quality reviews, provide reusable guidance and mentoring, and clearly communicate complex integration decisions and trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

Extensive experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-grade integration solutions, typically gained through 8+ years of relevant experience or equivalent demonstrated expertise.

Progressive experience in integration, solution, or domain architecture, including responsibility for architecture strategies, roadmaps, standards, reference architectures, and reusable patterns.

Experience with one or more enterprise integration platforms or services, such as Mule Soft, Azure Integration Services, Kafka, Azure Event Hubs, Informatica IICS, enterprise service bus technologies, Azure Data Factory, or comparable technologies.
