CDL Class B Driver Canton, MA

What are we looking for

At Cosentino we are looking for a CDL Class B Driver located in Canton, MA , who will have the opportunity to work in a multinational environment, in full expansion, surrounded by numerous challenging projects that you can be part of.

A Driver is responsible for delivering Cosentino Products safely and efficiently to customers and warehouses. Those performing this job usually work alone and receive direction from Supervisors, Dispatchers, Warehouse Managers, and in some cases Transportation Managers.

To succeed as a driver with us you should be polite and prompt with a commitment to providing our clients with an excellent experience. You should be thorough in ensuring orders are properly fulfilled, committed to working safely, and enthusiastic about satisfying clients.

Our drivers are expected to work on two different fronts :

• Responsible for the distribution / collection of material to / from clients as required.
• Ensure that the truck follows the required maintenance by DOT regulations and always travels with the necessary documentation.
• Assist in moving material in the warehouse with a forklift and / or overhead crane.
• Position blocks and ties, straps / chains, and binders for cargo securement.

• Maintain driver’s logbook
• Accurate accounting of all freights delivered and / or picked up
• Manage execution of all paperwork with special emphasis on inspections and hours of service required
• Other duties as assigned

• 2+ years of experience driving with a Class B Driver’s License
• Experience & proficiency with DOT Cargo Securement / Load Regulations.
• Clean Driving Record
• Must be able to pass random drug screens

• Previous Stone industry experience

• High School Diploma / GED
• Air Brake Endorsement

• Electronic Log Device (GEOTAB)
• Cargo Securement experience
• Experience managing email (Microsoft Outlook)
• Ability to carry and lift up to 40 lbs.

The starting hourly range for this position is between $26 - 30 / hr

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography / market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible Potential Annual Award depending on individual performance and Company performance, in accordance with the terms of the Company’s plan.

You will also be eligible to enroll in our 401(k) Retirement Plan, starting the first of the month.

Vacation time will be accrued monthly and will be subject to change per the Company’s policy updates. 5 days of sick time. Full-time employees will receive 2 floating holidays to use each year. If hired after July 1, employees receive 1 floating holiday to use for that calendar year.
