LHH is supporting one of our manufacturing clients in their search for a Plant Accounting Manager

$120-140K base salary + 4-5% bonus

This role is onsite in Valencia, CA

Standard business hours. Expect 40-50 hours with more hours around peak deadlines

This role reports into the Group Controller and supervises a team of 4 accountants focused on general ledger, A/R, and A/P.

This role is open due to an internal promotion. This individual will be well positioned for a growth path into a Plant Controller role after learning company processes and cadences.

• Supporting accounting operations for two plant locations within the same Company division
• Ownership of general ledger accounting including journal entries, inventory accounting, accruals, reconciliations, month-end close
• Assisting with financial statement preparation
• Oversight of A/R accounting
• Ownership of inventory and standard cost accounting, E&O, LIFO, FCA and LCM calculations
• FP&A including developing budgets, forecasting and financial/variance analysis

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA or CMA is preferred
• Cost accounting background and knowledge
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience
• Experience with ERP systems and financial platforms is a plus
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills
• Knowledge of US GAAP
• Must be a US
