Overview
Para educator - Strive Classroom:
Special Education (2025-26) at Everett Public Schools. 6.5 hour/day; 194 days/year. Salary
Schedule:
Para educator.
Students Transitioning Responsibly into Vocational Experiences (STRIVE); an 18-21 Transition Program. STRIVE is designed as a link between high school and adult life, providing a sequence of school-based experiences and training to assist a trainee with special needs to become more self-reliant and independent. STRIVE is not a full-time academic program; students who enter the GOAL Program typically have completed high school graduation requirements in a Life Skills Program.
Responsibilities(illustrative)
- Support para educators in delivering specialized instruction and supports to students in the STRIVE program.
- Assist teachers with planning and implementing individualized education plans and transition activities.
- Support student independence and safety in classroom and program activities.
- Experience or demonstrated ability to work with students with special needs in a transition setting preferred.
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers.
