Join Memorial Academy as a full-time School Counsellor to develop a comprehensive guidance program for student success. Start date is September 8, 2026.
This is a permanent role shared with Hillview Academy. Your responsibilities include developing holistic interventions, supporting students, and leading assessments to prepare for critical incidents. You’ll work closely with staff and the Principal to fulfill the educational objectives outlined by NLSchools, maximizing opportunities for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create a comprehensive school guidance program
• Lead implementation of assessments and interventions
• Support staff in educational opportunities
• Participate in planning for critical incidents
• Foster an inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Education required
• NL Teaching Certificate – Level IV or higher
• Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology
• Experience in individual and group counseling
• Knowledge of child protection legislation
