Position OverviewThis full‑time, salaried Pastoral Staff Position oversees all children and youth ministries for ages 0–12th Grade. The role focuses on long‑term development of children and youth programming, mentorship, discipleship, and family engagement.
Qualifications- A vibrant, Spirit‑filled relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to living out the Gospel.
- A passion for children, youth, and families.
- Bachelor’s degree in Christian Education, Theology, or a related field.
- Previous experience leading children’s ministry or similar programs.
- Willingness for ongoing training and mentorship.
- Good time‑management skills.
- Holds the authority of a fully elected pastor and serves at the pleasure of the Sr. Pastor.
- Promotes peace and unity within the church.
- Assists the pastor in carrying out the ministries of the church.
- Leadership and Vision: Develop and implement a clear vision and strategy for Children’s and Youth ministries aligned with the church’s mission.
- Decision Making: Make sound, critical decisions under pressure.
- Analytical & Creative Problem Solving: Apply analytical thinking and creative problem‑solving skills.
- Team & Communication: Foster teamwork, excellent communication, active listening, and teaching skills.
- Program Development: Oversee weekly gatherings, special events, retreats, and outreach initiatives ensuring age‑appropriate, Biblically sound content.
- Volunteer Recruitment & Development: Recruit, train, and mentor a volunteer team, providing necessary resources.
- Community Engagement: Develop outreach strategies through schools, events, or other opportunities; lead Gospel‑centric community engagement events.
- Organization & Administration: Manage ministry budgets and supplies; maintain compliance with child protection policies; keep spaces clean and orderly.
- Spiritual Leadership: Exemplify prayer, personal integrity, and Scriptural commitment; mentor children, teens, and families.
- Missional Heart: Cultivate a missional mindset.
- Proficiency with technology and media tools.
- Musical skills.
- Computer technology knowledge.
- Resume.
- Video presentation of teaching or relevant material (if requested).
- Contactable references attesting to leadership, ministry effectiveness, and character.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and adhere to child safety protocols.
- Bachelor’s degree in Christian Education, Theology, or a related field.
