Marathon Staffing is currently seeking motivated and reliable Watercraft Inspection Specialists
! This position offers the opportunity for long-term employment for the right candidates who enjoy working outdoors and making a positive impact on the environment.
As a Watercraft Inspection Specialist, you will help prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species (AIS) by inspecting and decontaminating watercraft while educating boaters on best practices.
Key Responsibilities- Perform AIS watercraft inspections and decontamination using high‑pressure hot water (140°F)
- Operate and perform minor repairs on a mobile decontamination unit
- Collect boater information and provide AIS education and outreach
- Tow a mobile decontamination unit using a state vehicle
- Work around, in, and underneath stationary watercraft as needed
- Outdoors in varying and sometimes inclement weather. Requiring the ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Shifts are typically 8–10 hours per day
- Weekend and holiday availability is required
- Ability to work outdoors and perform physical tasks
- Must pass and maintain a criminal background check, DMV background check, and drug test (zero tolerance for all drugs)
- Reliable transportation is required
