This role is ideal for someone who enjoys applying technical accounting judgment in a project-based environment, working across multiple operational areas, and helping scale financial processes as the business expands.
Responsibilities- Lead technical accounting for project-related assets, including capitalized costs and asset lifecycle management
- Manage inventory accounting for large-scale operational initiatives
- Support debt, equity, and intercompany accounting transactions
- Execute monthly close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Provide supporting documentation for audits and ensure GAAP compliance
- Partner with internal teams to improve processes, strengthen controls, and scale accounting operations
- Collaborate across departments to support business decision-making with accurate financial insights
- 4+ years of accounting experience in a technical, project-based, or operational environment
- Strong GAAP knowledge with the ability to apply judgment to complex, non-routine accounting scenarios
- Experience managing month-end close processes, reconciliations, and financial analysis
- Experience in industries such as renewable energy, construction/engineering, real estate development, or capital-intensive manufacturing
- Public accounting or audit experience
- ERP system experience and/or process improvement initiatives
