Export and Research Security Compliance Manager

• Develop and manage the export compliance program ensuring adherence to relevant regulations (ITAR, EAR, OFAC)
• Oversee compliance with research integrity and ethical conduct of research initiatives
• Coordinate and advise on international shipments of export-controlled items
• Supervise the Research Compliance Analyst and provide mentorship and training
  
  Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic decisions impacting export and research compliance

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Sciences, Pre-Law, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in export compliance, specifically with U.S. export regulations
• Expert knowledge of U.S. export control laws and regulations (ITAR, EAR, OFAC)
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with ability to train at all organizational levels
• Proven ability to lead and manage projects, including prioritization and task delegation

• MBA or related advanced degree
• Experience in managing Responsible and Ethical Conduct of Research (RECR) and Conflicts of Interest (COIs)
• Familiarity with federal regulatory frameworks and compliance training
• Knowledge of privacy, information, and data security laws (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR)
• Experience using government portals and systems for export compliance
