Job Duties & Responsibilities- Taking campus and activity photos and video for all social media platforms
- Creating original content – including writing, photography, video, and/or graphic design
- Creating and sharing content across social media platforms, including Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook, and Linked In, with a primary focus on Tik Tok
- Engaging with audiences on our social media platforms by responding to comments and direct messages
- Interviewing fellow students about their Naropa experience. Will need to record, edit, and sometimes transcribe interviews to be shared on public platforms or saved in the Naropa content library
- Assist the Digital Marketing Coordinator in sharing content through the Naropa blog - The Pilot Light, Mindful
U podcast, and Naropa’s You Tube channel - Other duties as assigned.
- Student must be awarded work study hours by the Financial Aid office in order to be eligible for this position.
- Interest in marketing with a willingness to learn.
- Writing and proofreading skills
- Must be detail oriented, organized, and take initiative
- Experience with social platforms, particularly Facebook, Instagram, You Tube, and Tik Tok
- All job candidates must demonstrate an appropriate level of understanding of and appreciation for the values of Naropa University and the capacity to demonstrate an integration and embodiment of these values as evidenced in work, communication, collaboration styles, and other general workplace behaviors.
- Experience and willingness to work with Tik Tok.
- Familiarity with both Mac and Windows a plus.
- Experience with social media management or publishing software.
During regular daily activities, employee must be able to do the following with or without reasonable accommodation: lift up to 35 pounds, stand, walk, sit, handle/finger, bend at the waist, reach above shoulder level, kneel, crouch, and interruptions/distractions.
Naropa recognizes the following holidays throughout the year: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Fall Break, 4th Thursday and Friday in November, and Winter Break, the last two weeks in December encompassing the Christmas holiday as well as New Year’s.

A comprehensive benefits package is available to full-time employees who work a minimum of 30 hours each week. Employees who work fewer than 20 hours per week are eligible to participate in Naropa’s retirement plan only, which includes up to 2.5% employer matching.
All regular full-time and part-time faculty and staff, including student workers, accrue sick leave benefits. Full-time and part-time staff positions accrue vacation and personal time. All leave accrual rates vary based on the position, hours worked, and years of service.
