Pact is hiring a Senior Technical Developer of Apparel to join the Product team in Boulder, CO. This role is responsible for driving the fit, quality, and technical execution of apparel, from initial design to production‑ready garments. The Senior Technical Developer will own sample development across multiple categories, leveraging deep expertise in pattern making, construction, specs, fittings, and technical communication to deliver consistent and high‑quality samples each season.
This is a hands‑on role that will own tasks like preparing materials for high‑level milestone meetings, as well as scheduling and leading fit sessions. As a senior member of the team, this individual will also partner closely with the Technical Development Manager to help track and prioritize workload, uphold calendar deadlines, and maintain expert organization across all stages of development.

- Lead execution, strategy, and management of apparel development to ensure fit integrity and product excellence across multiple categories.
- Partner closely with Technical Development Manager to assist with team prioritization, sample tracking and documentation, calendar deadlines, and overall product organization.
- Collaborate with Design, Merchandising, Sourcing, and Production to translate designs into viable, production‑ready garments that execute brand vision and margin targets.
- Oversee the creation and management of technical packages, ensuring design, specs, construction, and BOM details are accurate and consistent across all programs.
- Be an expert in fit and lead fit sessions with clear communication, technical rationale, and leadership presence, to drive cross‑functional alignment and decision‑making for each style.
- Manage complex development calendars, sample tracking, and milestone deliverables across multiple seasons and evolving business priorities with a high level of autonomy.
- Anticipate and proactively resolve garment fit, quality, or costing challenges through creative problem solving and innovation that boosts efficiency and upholds brand equity.
- Mentor team members and provide technical guidance cross‑departmentally to advance design concepts, fit consistency, construction methods, product quality, process efficiency, and overall brand operations.
- Collaborate with international colleagues and vendor partners to advance construction techniques, elevate quality standards, and drive production efficiencies.
- Monitor production quality and conduct QA reviews as needed, to improve product consistency, reduce returns, and optimize customer satisfaction.
- Own ongoing projects like maintaining model database, scheduling and leading fit sessions, expanding fit block library, and upkeeping construction and point‑of‑measure manuals.
- Lead initiatives to document and standardize development processes for consistent product.
- Partner with leadership to optimize workflows, implement new tools, and evolve best practices that elevate team performance, strengthen the brand, and drive operational excellence.
