We Are
The Department of Psychology and Neuroscience has approximately 43 tenured/tenure-track faculty and 12 teaching faculty. We offer separate bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Neuroscience to 3,700+ undergraduates and PhDs in 5 specialty graduate program areas (Behavioral Neuroscience;
Behavioral, Psychiatric, and Statistical Genetics; Clinical Psychology; Cognitive Psychology; and Social Psychology). We encourage cutting edge and collaborative research that transcends traditional disciplinary boundaries, while maintaining a firm footing in psychology and neuroscience.
Key Responsibilities Will Be
Serve as a course teaching assistant for PSYC Introductory Cognitive Psychology. Employee will perform teaching assistant duties for one section of PSYC 2145 Introductory Cognitive Psychology. Responsibilities include
1) reviewing/preparing for lecture
2) attending lecture each week
3) providing valuable input on how to revise/improve course materials
4) assist with grading
5) conduct office hours
6) Perform administrative duties for the course such as entering grades, printing exams, obtaining scantrons and dropping them off at the Student Testing Center, assisting in scheduling alternative exam locations and times for students with disability accommodations, etc.
7) help with exam proctoring
8) meet with professor as needed
In-class time TuTh 11:00-12:15. Additional hours for employee determined each week. Employment expectation is 10 hours of time each week, some synchronous work with the class and the professor, other aspects completed autonomously and remotely.

What We RequireBachelor’s degree in psychology, Cognitive Science or related field.
What You Will NeedCompetency in Cognitive psychology demonstrated through completion of bachelor’s degree in psychology or Cognitive Science. Peer leadership and pedagogical skills including learning models, facilitating student interactions, providing effective feedback, listening and compassion, learner-centered teaching, and providing safe inclusive environment for learning.
