Program Manager

We are presently seeking a Program Manager to support execution of cross‑functional projects related to optics and photonics product development.

• Manage technically and logistically complex programs, delivering on time, to specification, and at planned cost.
• Create and actively manage timelines and budgets for each project, reporting performance against them.
• Coordinate activity with engineering, supply chain, and operations to position projects for success.
• Serve as primary customer interface, providing superior support and effectively managing demanding customers.
• Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks.
• Leverage technical knowledge to ensure investigations and developments align with overall project goals.
• Achieve results while reinforcing company culture and maintaining accountability.
• Lead project teams through phase‑gate review process for Initiate, Feasibility, Design, Prototype, Pilot, and Production phases.

• BS in Engineering (Business or Science a plus).
• 5+ years of technical project/program management experience.
• 5+ years of optics/photons experience.
• Project Management (PMP) certification strongly preferred; un­certified candidates must commit to pursuing certification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with MS Project, MS PowerPoint, Configuration Management Systems, and ERP systems.
• Skill in managing a diverse range of personnel in a matrix organization.
• Ability to multitask, operate independently, and solve problems hands‑on when appropriate.

Benefits start day 1:

Pay Range: $125,000 – $145,000 per year, depending on experience.

Location:

Boulder, Colorado – We specialize in manufacturing ultra‑precision optical components, thin‑film coatings, and sub‑assemblies for lasers, materials processing, instrumentation, life sciences, avionics, and defense.

This position requires the use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
