Product EngineerYou are how we EXCEL. Join the team that leading technology companies turn to for cutting‑edge photonic innovation. We are presently seeking a Product Engineer that will integrate assembly, fabrication, coating, and metrology technologies to provide product solutions for customers.
Responsibilities- Serves in the role of Technical Lead on New Product Introduction projects.
- Responsible for specification compliance for New Product Introduction projects.
- Coordinates the development of tools and processes to enable the manufacture and test of new products.
- Works with customers to ensure clear understanding of new product requirements.
- Identifies technical risks and develops mitigation strategies.
- Bachelor's Degree in Physics, Optics, or related field (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, or Material Science). Advanced degree highly desirable.
- 5 years of experience in optics‑related field desirable.
- Proficiency with optical modeling software (e.g. Zemax, Code V, FRED) desirable.
- Proficiency with Solid Works or other CAD software desirable.
- Experience with Product Documentation Management (PDM) systems desirable.
- Experience with DFMEA/PFMEA desirable.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.

Pay Range: $,000 depending on experience.
Location & FacilityOur facility in Boulder, Colorado has key functions in Research and Development, Operations, Production, and other disciplines. This facility specializes in the manufacturing of ultra‑precision optical components, optical thin film coatings and optical sub‑assemblies for demanding applications in lasers, materials processing, instrumentation, life sciences, avionics, and defense. The site offers capabilities that include substantial design and engineering resources, comprehensive optical fabrication and coating capabilities, advanced assembly technology and an extensive in‑house metrology lab.
This position requires the use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
