Position OverviewWe are presently seeking a Quality Engineer that be responsible for coordinating customer quality assurance requirements into company quality management processes and deliverables.
Main Responsibilities- Participate and contribute in New Product Introduction process and understand specification development and verification for transition to production.
- Planning and ensuring product quality as per specifications during the project and in the series.
- Compliance with legal and regulatory requirements (for example, CE, …) and the ongoing changes.
- Creation of test planning.
- Verification of prototype and preproduction series (DVTP).
- Planning product quality and process quality (control plan) and the documentation.
- Combining the product test results and their evaluation.
- Implementation of risk management and coordination with notified bodies and customers.
- Presentation and documentation of design reviews.
- Coordinating customer first article inspection.
- Presentation and dissemination of Lessons Learned.
- Act as the direct customer interface for quality-related matters for assigned customers.
- Modify quality performance analysis and reporting to meet customer requirements.
- Monitor Return Material Authorization retest and FA cycle time for assigned customers.
- Participate in the MRB program.
- Coordinate process analysis and improvement through the implementation of statistical tools and Six Sigma methods.
- Professionally manage customer communications regarding quality escapes, repaired product turn‑around time and status (SORMA), correlation of testing parameters and deviations to specifications, when required.
- Support and, where applicable, conduct internal and external audits.
- Participate in specific production yield improvement projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, math, science or technology or a combined seven years' experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or Quality Engineer.
- Minimum five years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer is desired.
- Excellent customer-facing ability.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100 and AS9103.
- Familiar with FAR/DFARS and flowdown of quality assurance requirements.
- Formal training in statistical techniques in a manufacturing environment;
Lean and Six Sigma training and certification highly desired. - Strong data mining and analysis skills.
- Ability to take responsibility for quality of all products including assembly, testing and yields.
- Experience in NPI process management and product quality planning (including contract review) is a big plus.
- Understanding and familiarity with design control processes including: design review processes, manufacturing process instructions, material review board, failure analysis and corrective/preventive actions and verification testing is highly preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office and MS Project is preferred.
- Experience using statistical analysis and control charting software.
Benefits start day 1:

Pay Range: $73,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience.
