Position: Sr Staff / Senior Systems Engineer with Security Clearance

Sci Tec has an immediate opportunity for a talented senior systems engineer to support our programs delivering Next-Generation Missile Warning software.

This is a unique opportunity to join a small business delivering core capabilities for national defense. You will work within a team delivering end-to-end software processing of Overhead Persistent Infra Red (OPIR) sensor data for missile warning. Candidates will develop and implement model-based systems engineering processes in support of the Agile software development program. Sci Tec seeks a candidate who will thrive in an environment where they can solve challenging engineering problems in support of critical national security objectives.

Responsibilities
* Implementing systems engineering processes aligned with IEEE 15288.
* Designing and modeling software architectures for data processing systems.
* Developing artifacts using Model Based Systems Engineering.
* Mentoring other Sci Tec staff in systems engineering processes and methodologies.
* Communicating professionally and effectively between customer representatives, program managers, software developers, and other members of the systems engineering team.
* Other duties as assigned. Requirements
* A bachelor's degree in physical sciences, mathematics, engineering (including systems engineering), or computer science

* Minimum 4 years of professional experience in engineering, computer science, remote sensing, aerospace, or defense
* Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a systems engineer on software development programs

* Two (2) years of experience specifically with MBSE and modeling

* Two (2) years of experience developing system/software requirements
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Strong attention to detail
Candidates who have one or more of the following skills will be preferred
* Domain experience with remote sensor systems or software architecture, especially experience with OPIR sensor processing

* Systems engineering experience supporting programs in the defense and aerospace fields

* Experience supporting prototypes transformation into production level engineering solutions

* Additional professional experience in systems engineering beyond 2 years

* Familiarity with the Cameo family of tools, specifically Cameo Systems Modeler

* Experience with Agile software development methods
* Demonstrated experience in program management and project leadership
* Graduate degrees or coursework in Systems Engineering or related fields
* An active SECRET DoD security clearance or higher

* Flexible Work Hours The pay range for this position is $117,000 - $168,000 / year. Sci Tec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
