Job Description BAE Space and Mission Systems, Inc. is seeking a talented and motivated RF Systems Analyst to support our team of experts in developing cutting-edge RF payload solutions. As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, collaborate with experienced engineers, and develop your skills in RF signal chain analysis. The Engineering, Science and Analysis (ESA) Strategic Capabilities Unit comprises the technical talent and organizational leadership that enables the successful delivery of high-impact discriminating technologies for our customers' missions.

* Support RF payload system and box/board level design and analysis
* Analyze RF signal chain performance to assess and develop requirements, including noise figure, gain, and IP2/IP3
* Learn and perform systems engineering tasks throughout a program or Research and Development (R&D) project lifecycle.
* Contribute to the decomposition and allocation of RF payload requirements to lower-level specifications. Refine requirements as necessary.
* Develop and monitor the margin management philosophy throughout the program lifecycle.
* Synthesize and analyze payload system performance, including spatial, spectral, and radiometric performance, for compliance and verification of requirements.
* Contribute to analyses for the development of error trees and Technical Performance Measures (TPM).
* Explore system interfaces and development of payload Interface Control Documents (ICD).
* Collaborate with subject matter experts from other disciplines including calibration, optical, thermal, and focal plane subsystems.
* Work alongside AI&T engineers to support the test configurations, verification approaches, and analysis plans necessary for payload verification.
* Lead the development, test and evaluation of hardware, software, support equipment and systems as required.
* Prepare and deliver presentations to peers, management, and/or customers, as required.
* Support program gates such as the System Requirements Review (SRR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), Test Readiness Review (TRR), and payload sell-off.
* Learn about payload technical proposal development including estimates of systems team labor and schedule.
* Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
* Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
* Perform other duties as necessary. On-Site Work Environment:
This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.
Working Conditions:
* Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.
* May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.
* May access other facilities in various weather conditions. Required Education, Experience, & Skills
* BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related field is required plus 2 or more years related experience.
* Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of related experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
* Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI Polygraph security clearance is required.
* Familiarity in computer application skills, such as Python, Matlab, C, C++, IDL, STK, DOORS, and other analytical tools
* Experience in multiple lifecycle phases in RF, tactical, or electro-optical system programs from concept development and program kick- off through post-delivery support.
* Experience with data analysis and modeling related to image processing, calibration, remote sensing, optical payload test, or focal plane assembly (FPA) test.
* Demonstrated technical and interpersonal skills-ability to work with a team, predict and meet schedules, resolve disconnects.
* Effective communication skills are essential, including the ability to understand the team's needs, ask insightful questions, and provide clear communication of proposed solutions #LI-JL2 A security clearance or access with Polygraph is not required to be eligible for this position. However, the applicant must be willing and eligible for submission, depending on program requirements, after an offer is accepted and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access.
