Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - Board Certified

Strock Medical Group, a private practice in psychiatry operating for over nine years, is hiring contract Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP‑BC) for full‑time and part‑time positions in Boulder and Denver. Candidates will work in‑person and via telemedicine and may split time between office locations. All positions are 1099 contractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medication evaluations and treatment.
  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations using DSM‑V practice guidelines.
  • Perform safety assessments.
  • Screen new patients and schedule initial evaluations.
  • Schedule appointments and provide reminders to patients.
  • Maintain charting and documentation in accordance with the office’s policies.
Qualifications
  • Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP‑BC) – required.
  • Licensed PMHNP‑BC in Colorado – required.
  • Provisional and/or full prescriptive authority – required.
  • 1 year of mental health clinician experience (or equivalent training); new graduates welcome with mentorship for Colorado prescriptive authority.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology, psychiatric diagnosis, recovery principles, and evidence‑based interventions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a larger treatment team.
  • Competency in working with people of diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Highly professional, able to manage difficult situations.
  • Organized, able to prioritize workload, and complete charting within group policies.
  • Computer proficiency, including EHR and Microsoft Office products.
  • Willingness to travel to community sites.
  • Understanding of and adherence to HIPAA privacy regulations.
