** Ultrasonographer
* * is responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound exams and corresponding reports of the patient’s anatomy, as it applies to Urology, in a timely manner for review by physicians in accordance with UUG’s protocols. Transfer all images to the PAC system and possess working knowledge of PACS functionality.

* Qualifications:

** Minimum of one year of experience performing diagnostic abdominal ultrasound studies. Maintain CME requirements as required by ARDMS and will periodically be verified throughout employment.
** Knowledge, Competencies &

Skills:

** Ability to demonstrate knowledge of Ultrasound principles and practices, including differentiation of cross-section anatomy and medical terminology.

Possess working knowledge of ultrasound equipment and related computer systems. Ability to work in a pleasant and cooperative manner with patients & colleagues.

Possess excellent customer service skills and a positive team player attitude. Ability to demonstrate a caring, compassionate, and caring attitude.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to demonstrate strong typing, written, and verbal communication skills.

Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute. Ability to demonstrate proficient computer software and database skills.

Ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

Ability to organize workload to determine priorities.

Ability to tolerate working in confined areas and/ or with distractions when necessary.

Ability to and feel comfortable with multi-tasking, proactive problem solving, and working in a fast-paced environment.

Must have the ability & willingness to travel to other sites as necessary within a geographic region.
