Research Clinician

Overview

Element has a current opening for a Research Clinician to join our growing team in Boulder, CO for a full‑time position. The main responsibility of the Research Clinician is to support invasive and non‑invasive hypoxia clinical trials ensuring compliance with protocols and regulatory standards. The position will work alongside the Clinical Study Manager focusing on study execution, monitoring participant safety, and using necessary equipment to desaturate participants to target clinical trial levels.

$40/hr – $60/hr DOE

Responsibilities
  • Performs procedures as required by the protocol and as allowed by level of licensure and/or training.
  • Responsible for nursing care of clinical trial participants, according to protocol requirements and/or standing orders.
  • Develops, completes, and maintains source documents.
  • Screens, consents, and conducts study procedures, as designated by the study protocol.
  • Adheres to study protocol and follows participants through the study period, per protocol.
  • Conduct required assessments throughout the clinical trial assessment period.
  • Responsible for maintaining and completing Case Report Forms in agreement with the source documentation and in accordance with the study protocols.
  • Assures clinical supply accountability for assigned trials.
  • Accompanies sponsor representatives during site visits and follows up, as needed.
  • Accumulates all data and supplies for study closure.
Skills / Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse or Respiratory Therapist with a current license or engineering discipline with clinical experience (biomedical preferred). Familiarity with pulse oximetry, oxygen levels preferred.
  • No disciplinary action on license history.
  • Clinical research experience preferred, but not required.
  • Capable of performing all clinical tasks relevant to licensure and/or training.
  • Clear verbal communication with participants.
  • Good interpersonal skills, demonstrated through interactions with participants, Element staff, sponsor representatives.
  • Detail‑oriented and organized.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Availability, flexibility, and maturity to represent the company at a broad range of events/projects in the community, with customers and within the company.
  • Well‑developed oral and written communication skills to meet a variety of communication needs.
  • Technical background is a plus.
  • Ability to interface with participants.
  • Attention to detail is an absolute must.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Possession of good communication skills (verbal, written).
  • Possession of independent, problem‑solving abilities.
  • Knowledge and compliance with laboratory procedures, quality and safety requirements.
  • Strong organizational and scheduling skills.
