Boulder Vein Center is seeking a skilled and patient-focused Vascular Ultrasound Technologist to join our outpatient team. This role offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule with no on-call responsibilities, ideal for technologists seeking a balanced work‑life schedule. The technologist will perform a full range of non‑invasive vascular studies to assist physicians in the diagnosis and management of vascular conditions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Perform high-quality vascular ultrasound examinations, including but not limited to:
- Carotid duplex
- Venous and arterial duplex of upper and lower extremities
- Abdominal aortic and iliac duplex
- Ankle-brachial index (ABI) testing
- Accurately document preliminary findings for physician interpretation
- Maintain patient privacy and comfort during all procedures
- Enter exam data and maintain accurate records within the electronic health record (EHR)
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure efficient patient flow and care coordination
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure exam rooms are clean and fully stocked
- Follow departmental protocols and contribute to quality assurance initiatives
- Uphold all OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards
- IAC Certification Technical Director
Education and Certification:
- Graduate of an accredited vascular or diagnostic medical sonography program
- RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) or RVS (Registered Vascular Sonographer) certification required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of vascular ultrasound experience preferred
- Familiarity with Athenahealth EHR preferred but not required
