Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is seeking medically trained candidates to join our Orthopedics team as a Medical Assistant! This position is benefit‑eligible with a flexible schedule and opportunities for professional growth.

• Experience working with both primary care and specialty care clinics.

• Perform clinic administrative duties, including answering incoming telephone calls, obtaining and/or verifying patient information, patient check‑in/out, and coordinating accurate patient appointments.
• Obtain patient medical history, vital signs, chart preparation, medication dosage and frequency, patient allergens, and assist with medical examinations.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in electronic and/or manual systems as established by appropriate protocols, regulations, and policies.
• Prepare examination rooms, ensuring proper equipment is present and rooms are adequately stocked.
• Document all aspects of the patient encounter in an electronic medical record system.

• Good history‑taking skills and strong computer skills; accurate and complete documentation skills; good time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to relate well and communicate with patients, providers, and staff.
• Self‑direction in establishing priorities and working with little supervision.

• Completion of Medical Assistant education. Certification is not required but preferred.
• Other completed medical training and proof of active certification with 1+ years of recent field experience is an acceptable substitution (e.g., EMT, Surgical Tech, CNA).
• Military medical training and education with supporting documentation is an acceptable substitution for Medical Assistant credentials.
• College graduates with a completed four‑year bachelor’s degree are an acceptable substitution for Medical Assistant credentials.

• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant (MA) in a clinic setting is preferred.

• $18.91 - $25.21 per hour (full pay range $18.91 - $28.36).
