Job Type: Part-Time/Regular (20 hours per week – 2 full 8‑hour days and 1½ day)
Salary: $18.91 - $25.21 per hour (range may vary based on experience)
Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is seeking medically trained candidates to join our Orthopedics team as a Medical Assistant! This position is benefit‑eligible with a flexible schedule and opportunities for professional growth.

- Part‑time employees are eligible for medical, dental, vision, voluntary benefits, 401(k), and holiday pay (if regularly scheduled to work on an observed holiday).
- Experience working with both primary care and specialty care clinics.
- Perform clinic administrative duties, including answering incoming telephone calls, obtaining and/or verifying patient information, patient check‑in/out, and coordinating accurate patient appointments.
- Obtain patient medical history, vital signs, chart preparation, medication dosage and frequency, patient allergens, and assist with medical examinations.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in electronic and/or manual systems as established by appropriate protocols, regulations, and policies.
- Prepare examination rooms, ensuring proper equipment is present and rooms are adequately stocked.
- Document all aspects of the patient encounter in an electronic medical record system.
- Good history‑taking skills and strong computer skills; accurate and complete documentation skills; good time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to relate well and communicate with patients, providers, and staff.
- Self‑direction in establishing priorities and working with little supervision.
- Completion of Medical Assistant education. Certification is not required but preferred.
- Other completed medical training and proof of active certification with 1+ years of recent field experience is an acceptable substitution (e.g., EMT, Surgical Tech, CNA).
- Military medical training and education with supporting documentation is an acceptable substitution for Medical Assistant credentials.
- College graduates with a completed four‑year bachelor’s degree are an acceptable substitution for Medical Assistant credentials.
* College transcripts must reflect completed health science coursework. Please submit a copy of your unofficial college transcripts at the time of applying.
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant (MA) in a clinic setting is preferred.
- $18.91 - $25.21 per hour (full pay range $18.91 - $28.36).
