Job Summary

Copper Mountain Resort is a vacation destination located 75 miles west of Denver, Colorado in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Three vibrant, pedestrian-friendly village areas host lodging, retail outlets, restaurants, bars, and family activities. During the winter months, Copper's world-class terrain offers skiing and riding for all ages and abilities. Each summer, the mountain transforms into a playground for hikers, mountain bikers, and anyone seeking a genuine Colorado experience.

Copper Mountain Resort is also home to Woodward Copper action-sports camps, programs, and training facility.

The Resort Services Foreperson (RSF) is a part of the Resort Services Department and is responsible for the delivery of the highest quality customer service, rental experience and sales in Copper Mountain's Resort Services locations. The RSF's responsibilities encompass the day-to-day operations across all of the Copper Mountain owned and operated Retail, Rental and Guest Service locations.

The RSF will be assigned a specific location(s) where he/she will lead staff and ensure delivery of exceptional customer service and sales. The responsibilities include overseeing staff and opening and closing Rental/Retail and Guest Service locations on a daily basis.

The RSF works in conjunction with his/her Manager and Supervisor to deliver fiscally responsible supervision of labor resources and operational expenditure for all Business Units reporting to this position.

The RSF is responsible for making sure important information gets translated to staff members to enable them to service the guest effectively. The RSF needs to provide the necessary tools and training to assist employees in doing their jobs.

You will be working within a small, dynamic team and will be expected to be equally proficient in Retail, Guest Services and the Rental areas of our business. Your ability to smoothly move between these three areas and ability to engage with our customers will be critical to your success.

Integrity of the highest order is required and you are incorruptible, abiding by Copper's privacy policy as well as protecting the business by maintaining the pricing structure even in the face of pressure from peers and guests.

In addition to interacting with our guests who range from day visitors, to conference delegates, to event participants and homeowners is a key time for winter season preparation. This means you will also at times be requested to assist in project-type work which can include re-staging our retail locations, moving inventory, testing/repairing rental equipment, data input/re-keying, cleaning & tidying front and back of house areas, and processing retail/rental inventory after it is received.

Your honesty & integrity are on display every day, be it talking with guests about the right activity or pass product for them, protecting our retail inventory by being ever-alert or informing your supervisor that your reports are not balanced.

You have the guest interests at the front of your mind at all times, actively listening to the guest and then suggesting the appropriate products/services that will ensure a great guest experience.

You believe that guest loyalty is gained from providing consistent, quality service & care. You are committed to do whatever it takes to find an answer. "I don't know" is not in your vocabulary!

You are a committed team player, jumping in to assist teammates if the line is long, or if your skills & knowledge are needed. You know that the team's success is greater when all members are aligned. You anticipate your guest and colleagues' needs and this means you will jump from one area of our business into another without a second thought.

You attend each shift with a positive attitude, knowing that the guest comes first!! You can remain upbeat even when you have been asked the same question 50 times! You actively engage each and every guest, showing them empathy, animation and care, all the while being an eager advocate of the resort.

You understand that you are in a role which includes being a front-of-house…
