• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
• 6 years of experience working with database technologies (e.g., SQL, No
  
  SQL).
• Experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal or external partners or customers.

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• 6 years of experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
• 6 years of experience working with Machine Learning and Generative AI applications (e.g., deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, pattern recognition), applied ML techniques, or using OSS frameworks.
• Experience building ML solutions, leveraging specific architectures (e.g., LSTM, convolutional networks).
• Experience launching and scaling user-facing, production quality partner integrations.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, scope complex projects, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Within gUP, the Machine Learning (ML) Data Services team delivers scalable, high-quality data solutions that are foundational to numerous critical AI initiatives across Google. We partner closely with Google Deep Mind and other Engineering teams to bring the best Generative AI Models (GenAI) to market. We seek entrepreneurial, detail-oriented individuals driven to launch Google’s AI/ML products.

In this role, you will serve as the primary technical expert, responsible for designing and delivering scalable AI solutions while actively driving product improvements as a key user advocate. You will possess an understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), coupled with a proven ability to rapidly develop and iterate on prototypes. You will be collaborating directly with our Engineering teams to enhance our products and services and will focus on new methodologies for measuring the performance, quality, and safety of Generative AI models.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
