Position DescriptionENSCO is seeking a Senior Specialist in Cyber Engineering to join our mission‑driven cybersecurity team supporting the Mission Systems Operations Center (MSOC), Backup MSOC (BMSOC), and Ground Entry Points (GEPs). In this role, you will perform engineering and accreditation activities for mission‑critical systems that enable secure space and ground operations. You will integrate advanced cybersecurity controls, support system authorizations, and collaborate across engineering, test, and operations teams to safeguard vital mission networks and data.
- Lead Information System Security Engineering (ISSE) and ISSO activities supporting DoD mission systems.
- Implement and document cybersecurity controls using NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5 and DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) standards.
- Develop and maintain the Body of Evidence (BoE) to support IATT, ATO, and ATC approvals.
- Conduct and report vulnerability assessments, cyber T&E, and incident responses within defined timelines.
- Collaborate with Systems Engineers to embed cybersecurity into system design and testing from day one.
- Support secure integration of the Ever Fox Cross‑Domain Solution (CDS) and ensure network compliance with TEMPEST and DoD standards.
- Coordinate Dev Sec Ops pipeline security scans and oversee risk mitigations for mission software.
- Contribute to DCO‑S planning, interface design, and monitoring solutions across the MSOC and BMSOC environments.
Required:
- Education:
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Experience:
8+ years in ISSE, ISSO, or Network Engineering supporting DoD or Engineer Community systems. - Proficiency with RMF, NIST 800-53, eMASS, and vulnerability management tools.
- Experience maintaining ATO packages and managing compliance documentation.
- Working knowledge of network security, TEMPEST, and Dev Sec Ops environments.
- Strong communication and documentation skills; able to brief findings clearly to both technical and program audiences.
- Must possess (or be able to obtain within 6 months of hire) a DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification such as CISSP or equivalent.
- TS/SCI clearance, for which you must be a U.S. citizen.
- Experience with Ever Fox or other cross‑domain solutions (CDS).
- Familiarity with MBSE tools such as Cameo and Model‑Based Cybersecurity Assurance.
- Background in space, satellite operations, or mission‑critical systems.
- Experience leading or contributing to Cyber T&E or penetration testing events.
