About The Job

Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering challenges we face daily. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle.

This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks, and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.
Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.

In gTech Users and Products (gUP), our mission is to advocate for Google’s users by creating helpful and trusted experiences across the product ecosystem. We achieve this by meeting partners and consumers where they are with support and help, representing their needs with our product partners and proposing fixes and features that elevate their engagement with Google's diverse product ecosystem. Additionally we provide a range of product services that ensure our products are optimized for every user, no matter where they are in the world (e.g., localization, digitization, partner integration and more).

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Learn more about benefits at Google.

Responsibilities
  • Drive the end-to-end execution of complex, cross-functional programs to deliver the AI-powered User Voice Insights Engine (UVIE), managing the full program life‑cycle from technical design and scoping through to launch, adoption, and system health.
  • Define, manage, and communicate the technical program roadmap, milestones, and dependencies.
  • Apply expert technical judgment to assess engineering problems, evaluate complex technical trade‑offs, and communicate the impact of technical options to product, engineering, and executive leadership.
  • Serve as a key integration point for AI/ML‑driven features, partnering with Data Science and Engineering to manage the program delivery of new insight‑generation models and capabilities that transform raw user feedback into actionable insights.
  • Cultivate deep subject matter expertise in Google's User Voice ecosystem, including the underlying data architecture, data warehouse, and ingestion pipelines, to become an advisor for product and partner teams.
