Senior Network Engineer (Contract-to-Hire)

Hybrid – 2 days onsite in Boulder, CO

Compensation: $120K‑$140K upon conversion

About the Role

Our client is seeking a
* Senior
* * Network Engineer
* to design, implement, and optimize our enterprise network infrastructure. This role bridges the gap between architecture and administration – turning high‑level designs into secure, efficient deployments. You’ll work closely with our Network Architect and IT Operations team to build a resilient, modern network that supports their growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement network designs across Fortinet, Cisco, and other platforms.
• Configure and manage Forti Gate firewalls, Forti Switches, Forti
  
  APs, and Forti Manager environments.
• Deploy and maintain high‑availability systems for network resilience.
• Optimize network topology, redundancy, and capacity in collaboration with the Network Architect.
• Monitor, tune, and troubleshoot WAN/LAN/WLAN and VPN performance.
• Manage network security: firewall policy audits, vulnerability mitigation, and compliance.
• Document configurations, standards, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Mentor Network Administrator and assist with escalated incidents.
• Support IT projects like network modernization and IoT security segmentation.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and after‑hours maintenance.

Job Type & Location

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr.
