Come grow with us!  Torch Technologies is seeking a Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Scientist to join a team researching, creating, and refining innovative approaches to data curation, labeling, and fusion of OPIR data.

This position supports the Advanced Viz Lab Division.
** As an*
* ** Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Scientist your duties will include the following, but are not limited to**:  You will be expected to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team composed of government, FFRDCs, and other contractors to research, develop, and refine innovative methods for the curation, and labeling of Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) data.  You will also contribute to typing, and fusion of OPIR data to support advanced machine learning applications.

Responsibilities include designing and implementing an end-to-end out-of-distribution (OOD) detection and processing pipeline to triage, characterize, and extract value from large backlogs of unlabeled data; developing automated and human-on-the-loop labeling workflows to efficiently generate high-quality training datasets; and establishing data quality, provenance, and validation processes that improve model training, generalization, and operational performance.  Onboard users in the lab to the HEARTH system and support their efforts to develop models using the system.

* Required Qualifications:

* * U.S. Citizenship
* Master’s Degree in in Engineering with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, a related field or and 8+years of applicable progressive experience. OR
* PhD Degree in in Engineering with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, a related field and 5+years of applicable progressive experience.
* Secret clearance at a minimum is required to start and ability to maintain a DoD Clearance is a condition of ongoing employment.
* Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills.
* Ability to explain complex technical concepts and share knowledge with diverse audiences both internally and externally.
