About The Role
As a CBRE Data Center Manager
, you will manage the team responsible for providing preventative maintenance and repair services to a client or small building. This role is part of the Critical and Technical Services job function. It involves technical maintenance services in critical client environments. The manager will oversee critical electrical and fire protection systems for a large campus. This is not a remote role;
it is an onsite role in Boulder, Colorado.
- Provide formal supervision to employees and monitor their training and development. Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and oversee recruiting and hiring of new employees.
- Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities; establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
- Manage the relationship with the client while working with other stakeholders to meet all MSA requirements.
- Ensure the completion of configuration management, work orders, preventative maintenance, and repairs within the agreed SLA timeframe.
- Resolve unforeseen circumstances that occur and inform the client or senior management when needed.
- Verify facility infrastructure equipment installations are within the agreed SLA timeframe. Oversee IT equipment power installations, relocation and decommission requests.
- Check daily routine cleanup of the data halls and review findings.
- Confirm all deployments are installed to applicable internal, manufacturer, and industry standards.
- Ensure all records are updated following any changes made and keep documentation up to date for all applicable processes.
- Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments and present to senior management.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
- Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day‑to‑day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5+ years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention.
- Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
- Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
