Position: Materials Lab Technician - Growth in Concrete & Rock

Materials Laboratory Technician - Colorado

Twining Consulting, an innovative laboratory specializing in analysis of construction materials such as concrete and aggregate for more than 20 years, is seeking a skilled, reliable Materials Laboratory Technician to join our growing company in Boulder, Colorado.

Responsibilities will include the following:

• Photographing of concrete and rock samples.
• Preparation of concrete and rock samples for petrographic examination.
• Performance of chemical analysis of concrete samples.
• Storing, organizing and disposal of samples.
• Ability to learn to use and properly operate equipment such as cameras, lapidary grinding and polishing tools, saws, and thin section equipment.
• Understanding of the importance of workshop and laboratory safety protocols and the implementation of such protocols.
• Maintenance of clean work spaces and clean equipment.

Requirements:

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Possession of basic workshop and maintenance skills.
• Ease, familiarity, and safe operation of power tools and saws.
• Strong detail-oriented mindset.
• Excellent organization skills.
• Basic computer skills involving word processing, spread sheets and basic photographic editing.
• Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Positive attitude and work ethic.
• Able to work independently or as an active member of a team.
