As a Kitchen Leader, you will learn how to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables. You are responsible for ensuring our food is absolutely delicious. You’ll order food and train others to become future Kitchen Leaders. You help ensure the quality and safety of Chipotle’s food every day, keep the kitchen clean, organized, and well stocked; and oversee equipment maintenance.
You model teamwork and help create a great customer experience.
- Follow Chipotle’s policies and procedures, and perform kitchen duties.
- Ensure food quality by cooking and preparing food to order following kitchen procedures.
- Monitor food waste and inventory levels, and resolve food quality issues.
- Support teamwork between back‑of‑house and front‑of‑house crews.
- Develop crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders.
- Communicate effectively with crew members and customers to ensure great service and throughput.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen.
- Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring it is kept in good repair.
- Ensure crew members follow safety guidelines to prevent injuries.
- Complete required safety documents such as MSDS and inventory rotation records.
- Understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
- Be fluent in the primary language(s) of the work location.
- Hold a high school diploma.
- Have prior restaurant experience.

Base pay range: $17.90–$19.93 per hour, plus digital tips. Actual base pay may vary based on skill level, experience, and education.
