Base pay range

$25.10/hr - $42.50/hr

Responsibilities
  • Provides overall leadership to the Whole Body team. Responsible for all aspects of daily operations including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects as assigned.
  • Leads and develops Associate Team Leaders and Team Members. Accountable for Team Member hiring, development, corrective actions, and separations.
  • Ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and Team Members at all times.
  • Ensure adherence to store Standard Operating Procedures and be prepared to perform duties from other Team Member job descriptions as needed.
  • Support WFM core values and goals; promote programs and initiatives; ensure compliance with health and safety regulations including Food Safety.
Job responsibilities (detailed)
  • Hold ATLs, supervisors, and Team Members accountable for delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Make hiring and separation decisions in partnership with Store Leadership.
  • Monitor and achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets.
  • Project annual sales and expenses and prepare operating budget.
  • Manage ordering and inventory to achieve targeted contribution to profit margin.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with departmental and store leadership and with vendors.
  • Sustain knowledge of relevant competitors and industry trends; set high standards of retail execution.
  • Foster a positive environment of teamwork, mutual respect, and high morale.
  • Monitor customer flows and needs; direct Team Members to satisfy and delight customers; respond to customer questions promptly.
  • Select, train, develop, mentor, motivate, and counsel Team Members to sustain a high-performance team.
  • Communicate and maintain Team Member safety and security standards.
  • Provide timely, thorough, and thoughtful performance evaluations.
  • Model and communicate WFM vision and goals.
Job Skills
  • Strong knowledge of products, buying, pricing, merchandising, and inventory management.
  • Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, and prioritization abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team-building, and customer relationship skills.
  • Ability to teach others in a positive, constructive manner.
  • Thorough product knowledge and knowledge of regulatory and safety policies.
  • Proficient in math for assessing financial performance, profitability, and inventory management.
  • Proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and operations-related applications.
Experience
  • 24+ months retail experience including 12+ months of team leadership experience.
Physical requirements / Working conditions
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • In an 8-hour workday: standing/walking 6-8 hours, sitting 1-4 hours.
  • Hand use: grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling; bending, twisting, squatting, reaching.
  • Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.
  • Exposure to temperatures ranging from < 32°F to > 90°F.
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to use tools and equipment such as box cutters and pallet jacks; may require ladders.

The wage range for this position is $25.10-$42.50 hourly, commensurate with experience.
