You walk into a business. They say they already have a repair shop. By the time you leave, you know who makes the decisions, what's frustrating them, and when you should come back.

You remember the conversation. You make the follow-up. Eventually, they have a vehicle that needs attention, and they remember you.

We're interested in how you earn trust. You can be confident, persistent, and good at asking for the business without backing someone into a corner.

I'm Jake, owner of HTC Automotive in Boulder. We're looking for someone with that kind of outside-sales ability to bring local business and fleet customers into our shop.

• Find and visit local businesses whose vehicles need maintenance and repair.
• Get to know the people responsible for those vehicles and understand what they need from a shop.
• Explain HTC's services and approved fleet terms, answer what you can, and bring the right questions back to the team.
• Keep useful prospect records and follow through on the next step.
• Help turn a first vehicle into a customer relationship worth keeping.

This starts as a hybrid position: outside Business to Business sales earlier in the day, then evening service advising at HTC.

The initial schedule is 1–9 p.m., with outside sales earlier in the day and front-office coverage from about 5 p.m. until the phones close at 9.

At the shop, you'll answer phones, help arriving customers, coordinate appointments and vehicle handoffs. You will communicate repair information and approvals through our service process. That means helping deliver the service you've been out selling.

Base pay covers the whole shift, including your time at the service desk. Commission is earned on qualifying work from accounts you bring in during the written plan’s defined account time window.

• Some outside-sales experience is required. Be ready to tell us about business you earned and how you earned it.
• The confidence to approach a business and the patience to keep a useful conversation going over time.
• Organization, reliable follow-up, and comfort using CRM and shop software.
• Clear communication and the ability to stay helpful when the service desk gets busy.
• Willingness to travel locally and work the evening schedule.

Service-advisor experience and automotive knowledge are a plus. Previous advising experience is not required; we'll train you in HTC's service process.

HTC is an independent, owner-operated repair shop. We take repair quality, documentation, and customer trust serious. You'll work with our advisors, shop foreman, and me to keep promises realistic and service consistent.
